Naomi Abiola as MammaWriter,Performer,Teacher Naomi has won every major talent competition throughout the islands of Trinidad and Tobago. Twelve and Under, Teen Talent, La Ren Rive, Miss Tobago Heratage Personality, Miss Elegence Mom to name a few. Naomi performing ability was recognised during childhood and has been excelling ever since, she walked away with the secondary school drama awards for outstanding acting on more than one occasion, and was able to take those talents developed then and allow them to enhance her life. Naomi has worked in the area of HIV/AIDS for almost five years having been one of the Peer Educators attached to RAPORT the youth arm of the national Programme. |
She also holds a Certificate in the area of Voluntary Counselling and Testing Provider aquired via the Ministry of Health in collaboration with J H P I E G O an affiliate of the Johns Hopkins University.
Performing original pieces of dramatic monologues this time one entitled "I ent a sterio type" an actor in the recent short film Positive and Pregnant, a mother and HIV/AIDS activist in Tobago where she now calls home. |
Pauline Mark ...featuringPauline Mark is a young aspiring actor and writer from south Trinidad. She has done work on several theatrical productions since 2003 including Junction Village, Sangre Grande by Two, Strictly Matrimony, Fresh Water and A Pleasant Sunday. She has also worked on a few locally-produced films including Single’s Bar, Between Friends and Positive and Pregnant. She is the 2010 National Carnival Bands Association Traditional Mas Winner in the Baby Doll category, as well as the second place winner in both the 2009 and 2010 St. James Cultural and Social Committee Traditional Mas Competition (Baby Doll). She has also done work as a model, entertainment journalist and voice over talent. As a writer she has done a series of monologues, poems, articles, short plays and a screenplay. |
Lylah Persad featuring....Lylah Persad is a Former Business Manager of the Trinidad Theatre Workshop and Artistic Director of St Kitts Experience Theatre in St Kitts. She is Creative and Entertainment Director / Writer who currently writing and hosting "The Power of Positive Thinking" workshops. On working in this film: "I have always believed in the power of POSITIVE THINKING"... The Walker Lela Foundation for women's empowerment has made a huge step in expanding the education of HIV/AIDS.. By going the distance to target pregnant women, it gives them a sense of hope. People are not aware of the options available to them and they give up. Positive and Pregnant brings new hope to uneducated, uniformed, misunderstandings about HIV/ AIDS... |

Lorna Henry featuring as herselfLorna Henry is no stranger to featuring in documentaries , she is vocal about human rights as a person living with HIV and is fighting an on-going battle to end stigma and discrimination HIV positive persons face daily. Lorna is a proud mother of three healthy children born HIV free due to treatment available in Trinidad & Tobago . Lorna lends her face and voice to Positive and Pregnant in order to convey her powerful message. On April 29th 2014 Lorna Henry passed away may she rest in peace. |
